ISU Grand Prix Series Opens This Weekend in Las Vegas with 2019 Skate America presented by American Cruise Lines

Eighteen U.S. athletes will compete at 2019 Skate America presented by American Cruise Lines, the first event of the 2019 International Skating Union (ISU) Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series, Oct. 18-20, at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.

NBCSN will air live the ladies short program from 12-2 a.m. (ET) on Saturday morning and the men's free skate from 6-8 p.m. (ET) on Saturday evening. On Sunday morning from 1-3 a.m. (ET), NBCSN will air more of Saturday's competition from Skate America. On Sunday afternoon, NBC will air highlights from 12-1 p.m. (ET). Event highlights will also air on NBC on Saturday, Oct. 26th from 4:30-6 p.m. (ET). Terry Gannon will handle play-by-play responsibilities for the men's and ladies events and will be joined by 1998 Olympic gold medalist Tara Lipinski, three-time U.S. champion Johnny Weir and reporter Andrea Joyce. Gannon and 2006 Olympic silver medalist Tanith White will call the action for the ice dance segments, while White, Weir and Lipinski will commentate on the pairs events.

NBC Sports Gold will provide live coverage of the entire event through the Figure Skating Pass. Additionally, Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA will present encore coverage from Skate America and all Grand Prixes this season the week following the competition's conclusion. Both the broadcast and streaming schedule are detailed below.

The U.S. Figure Skating Fan Zone Ice Desk will stream live from Las Vegas on U.S. Figure Skating's Facebook and YouTube accounts, in addition to the U.S. Figure Skating Fan Zone. Nick McCarvel will host the coverage with analysts Michael Weiss (three-time U.S. men's champion), Brooke Castile (2007 U.S. pairs champion) and Sinead Kerr (seven-time British ice dance champion) joining for commentary.

The 18-member U.S. delegation at Skate America features Bradie Tennell (ladies), along with reigning U.S. champions Nathan Chen (men), Ashley Cain-Gribble and Timothy LeDuc (pairs), and Madison Hubbell and Zachary Donohue (ice dance). 2014 Olympian Jason Brown and 2018 Olympian Karen Chen will also compete at Skate America. The international field boasts multiple Olympians, including 2018 Skate America silver medalist Kaori Sakamoto of Japan, as well as China's two-time World bronze medalist Boyang Jin.
