Team USA Notches Solid Performances in Russia

Team USA notched a pair of fourth place finishes, wrapping up a solid weekend for the Americans at Rostelecom Cup in Sochi, Russia. NBC will air a recap of the competition on Sunday, Nov. 28 from 3-6 p.m. ET.
 
Mariah Bell, skating in her second Grand Prix competition in as many weeks, earned a fourth place finish with 140.98 points in Saturday's free skate for 210.35 points overall.  Russians Kamila Valieva, Elizaveta Tuktamysheva and Maiia Khromykh took the podium.
 
In the pairs competition, Team USA's Audrey Lu and Misha Mitrofanov placed fourth overall after earning 121.19 points in Saturday's free skate. The duo, who finished fourth in the short program, earned 186.16 overall points. Russia swept the podium with the teams of Anastasia Mishina and Aleksandr Galliamov, and Daria Pavliuchenko and Denis Khodykin finishing first and second, respectively, followed by Iasmina Kadyrova and Ivan Balchenko.
 
In ice dance, Kaitlin Hawayek and Jean-Luc Baker earned 187.62 overall points to finish in fifth place. Making their season debut, the tandem scored 113.90 points in Saturday's free dance Russians Victoria Sinitsina and Nikita Katsalapov took gold, followed by Italians Charlene Guignard and Marco Fabbri, and Canadians Laurence Fournier Beaudry and Nikolaj Soerensen.
 
In the men's competition, Camden Pulkinen scored 154.50 points in Saturday's free skate to tally 237.97 overall points and a seventh-place finish. Georgia's Morisi Kvitelashivili took the title, followed by Russia's Mmikhail Kolyada and Japan's Kazuki Tomono.

The United States will have five entries into December's ISU Grand Prix if Figure Skating Final. In the men's field, Nathan Chen, Vincent Zhou and Jason Brown will all compete in Osaka. Madison Hubbell and Zachary Donohue, and training mates Madison Chock and Evan Bates will compete in ice dance. Additionally, the United States will have five entries in the Junior Grand Prix Final. Ilia Malinin will compete in the men's field while Katarina Wolfkostin and Jeffery Chen, and Oona and Gage Brown will compete in ice dance. In the women's competition, Isabeau Levito and Lindsay Thorngren will take the ice.
