Three senior and nine junior synchronized skating teams have been selected to represent Team USA for the 2023-24 season.
Each of the 12 teams will skate for the United States on the international stage throughout the season, starting Jan. 11 with the first Challenger Series event, the 2024 Lumiere Cup. The Challenger Series, which began in 2019-20, offers teams the opportunity to earn world standing points.
At the conclusion of the junior and senior events at the 2024 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships, two teams will be chosen in each division to represent Team USA at the ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships 2024 and ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships 2024.
To qualify for Team USA, junior and senior teams from the International Selection Pool were required to attend two out of three qualifying events deemed as part of the "ISP Challenge Series." With the first event taking place in October, teams received feedback at the ISP Synchronized Monitoring Experience. Two nonqualifying competitions held in the month of November were also a part of the series for more head-to-head competition with domestic competitors. Teams were required to meet a minimum score at these events to be considered for inclusion at international competition.
Last season, Team USA won 14 medals internationally, including six at the Challenger Series. The
Haydenettes and
Miami University finished in the top six at the World Championships for the second consecutive year while
Skyliners junior earned bronze, their fourth World Junior Championships medal.
The teams named to Team USA for the 2023-24 season are as follows:
Senior
