Team USA Geared up to Compete on Home Ice at the ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships 2023

The Haydenettes and Miami University will take on the best synchronized skating teams from around the world at the premier event of the season, the ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships, set for March 31-April 1 at the Lake Placid Olympic Center in Lake Placid, New York.

Competing on home soil at the first World Synchronized Championships held in the United States since 2017, both teams representing Team USA have a strong history at the event.

Looking to regain a spot on the podium for the first time since 2016, the Haydenettes are five-time World Championships bronze medalists and have competed at every World Championships since its debut in 2000. After finishing fifth last season, the team that trains at the Skating Club of Boston earned silver at their first Challenger Series event of the 2022-23 season, the 2023 Mozart Cup.

At the 2023 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships, the Haydenettes clinched their 13th straight U.S. title and 30th overall championship, and will look to build on their total score that was the highest in the history of the U.S. Championships.

Miami University punched their ticket to Lake Placid with the silver medal at the U.S. Championships. Looking to claim their first international medal of the season, the team out of Oxford, Ohio holds the record for the best-ever result by a U.S. team at the World Championships with silver in 2007.

Last season, Miami University placed sixth at the World Championships.

Competition begins Friday, March 31 at 6 p.m. ET with the short program. Medals will be awarded the following day after the free skate, which begins at 3:30 p.m. ET.

Fans can watch the competition live on Peacock Premium. USA Network will also broadcast a recap show on Tuesday, April 4 from 12-2 p.m. ET.
