Levito Third After Short Program at Grand Prix de France

McBeath and Parkman, Shin and Nagy Place Fourth and Fifth, Respectively, In Pairs Short Program

Isabeau Levito delivered a season's-best score of 73.37 points, just 0.37 points under her international personal best, to finish third in the short program Friday at Grand Prix de France, the first of six events in the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series.

Competing at Angers IceParc in Angers, France, the 2024 World silver medalist performed a sterling program to music from the Sophia Loren movies Houseboat and The Millionaires.

Levito landed her opening triple flip-triple toe loop, which was her highest-scoring element at 10.56 points. She earned positive grades of execution on every element and generated the second-best program components score in the segment with 34.77 points.

Levito placed fourth at the 2025 World Championships after missing the majority of last season due to injury, and is looking for her second medal this season after winning 2025 Cranberry Cup International. She secured bronze at her sole Grand Prix event last season.

Elyce Lin-Gracey, the reigning World Junior bronze medalist competing in her second season in the Grand Prix Series, placed seventh in the short program with a score of 59.30. Skating to "Broken Vow" by Lara Fabian, Lin-Gracey experienced trouble on her opening triple Lutz but was clean the rest of the way and recorded two Level 4 spins.

Pairs Katie McBeath and Daniil Parkman and Audrey Shin and Balazs Nagy finished fourth and fifth, respectively, in the short program.

The reigning U.S. silver medalists, McBeath and Parkman performed their short program to "Vale" by Christian Reindl, Lucie Paradis and Power-Haus. They opened with a Level 4 triple twist and executed a Level 4 Axel lasso lift that claimed 8.20 points en route to a score of 63.31.

Shin and Nagy posted an international-best short program score of 61.79. Highlights of their program to music from The Godfather included a Level 4 combination spin and a Level 4 reverse lasso lift to end their program that scored a program-high 8.40 points.

Competition resumes Saturday with the rhythm dance, followed by the women's free skate, men's short program and pairs free skate.
