Started skating at age 6 because his older sister, Nanami, skated and they lived a block away from a rink. It was a place for him and his sisters to speak English outside of school ... Was going to retire when he started college, but fell back in love with the sport at UCLA ... Skates with the UCLA skating club in college and has medaled from 2021-23 at the U.S. Collegiate Championships, including gold in the junior event in 2021.
