Began skating at age 3. She originally went to the rec center to swim, but when she spotted the ice rink, she instantly fell in love ... Loves skating because it is where she feels the most free ... This season, for her short program, Sofia is performing the program that was meant for her late best friend, Everly Livingston. She skates in memory of Everly, their friends and her coach – all of whom she lost in the tragic plane crash in January of 2025 ... Her free skate is the last program she performed with her coach, Inna Volyanskaya, by her side at the U.S. Championships in Wichita and she dedicates the piece to her late coach's memory ... Previously coached by Inna Volyanskaya (2015-25).
