Team USA Wins Four Medals, Secures Spots in Grand Prix Final

The United States won four medals and clinched two spots to next month's Grand Prix Final, highlighting the final day of action at Internationaux de France.

Nathan Chen picked up his second Grand Prix title of the season and secured his spot in next month's Grand Prix Final, set for Dec. 6-9 in Vancouver. In Saturday's free skate, Chen scored 184.64 points to earn 271.58 overall as he landed three quad jumps and was awarded the Level 4 spins. Jason Brown, who led after the short program, earned 159.92 points Saturday for 256.33 overall to take home the silver medal. He earned the segment's highest program components marks with 89.64 points.

In the ice dance competition, Kaitlin Hawayek and Jean-Luc Baker finished fourth overall (181.47) with a 111.62-point free dance. With the result, they clinched a berth in Vancouver next month. Rachel and Michael Parsons scored 103.03 points in their free dance for 171.17 overall. The duo was awarded three Level 4 lifts and a Level 4 spin.

In the pairs competition, Tarah Kayne and Danny O'Shea won their first career Grand Prix medal, taking silver with 191.43 points. The duo earned 127.98 points in Saturday's skate, which featured no deductions and three Level 4 lifts. Audrey Lu and Misha Mitrofanov finished sixth overall with 157.28 points.

Bradie Tennell won her second career Grand Prix bronze medal with 197.78 overall points after a 136.44-point free skate. Her program was highlighted by a triple Lutz-triple loop combination and a triple Lutz-triple toeloop combination.
