The Best of Adam Rippon

Adam Rippon has made it official: he's retiring.

With a U.S. title, Four Continents title, multiple trips to Worlds and, of course, an Olympic Team Event bronze medal under his belt, Rippon can confidently leave the ice knowing it was all worth it.

In honor of Rippon and his decade-long competitive career at the senior international level, here are seven of his top-scoring international performances.

7. 2017 Grand Prix Final - TOTAL: 254.33

In his second consecutive Grand Prix Final and final international competition before the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018, Rippon earned the seventh-best total score of his career. The event was held in Nagoya, Japan.

Sans quad jumps, the self-nicknamed America's Sweetheart owned his Olympic moment with the skates of his career in PyeongChang, South Korea, en route to winning over the nation. He also cliched the Team Event bronze medal with his teammates Mirai Nagasu, Bradie Tennell, Nathan Chen, Alexa Scimeca-Knierim and Chris Knierim, and Maia Shibutani and Alex Shibutani.

5. 2016 Progressive Skate America - TOTAL: 261.43

Rippon ended his short program with 87.32 points. Combined with his score of 174.11 in the free skate, the then-reigning U.S. champion secured his second career Skate America medal with a third-place finish.

4. 2017 NHK Trophy - TOTAL: 261.99

In his fourth trip to NHK Trophy, the Pennsylvania native won his first medal at the event to kick off his 2017 Grand Prix Series in the Olympic season. He climbed from fourth after the short program to win silver.

3. 2016 World Championships - TOTAL: 264.44

Rippon had his highest placement at a World Championships for the second time with a sixth-place finish in 2016 when the event was held on home soil in Boston. He delivered the fourth-best free skate of the event behind Spain's Javier Fernandez, Japan's Yuzuru Hanyu and China's Boyang Jin.

2. 2017 Bridgestone Skate America - TOTAL: 266.45

Rippon continued his campaign for the 2018 Olympic Team with a personal best short program score of 89.04 and the best free skate of the night with 177.41. He won his third ISU medal of the season with a silver medal behind then-training mate Nathan Chen.

1. 2016 Trophée de France - TOTAL: 267.53

After winning a bronze medal at Skate America earlier that season, Rippon continued his 2016 Grand Prix tour at Trophée de France - now renamed to Internationaux de France - to earn his personal best for both the free skate and combined total, 182.28 and 267.53 points, respectively, to secure the bronze medal.
