Three of Team USA's rising stars,
Oona Brown and Gage Brown and
Lindsay Thorngren secured their best-ever finishes in the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series at Skate Canada International in Vancouver, Canada.
The Browns, who won gold at the ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships 2022, finished just off the podium in ice dance in fourth place, while Thorngren, the 2022 World Junior bronze medalist, placed fifth in the women's event.
Blowing away their previous-best Grand Prix result of seventh, which they earned for the second time last week at Skate America, the Browns set new personal bests for their free dance and overall score, tallying 113.71 and 187.62 points, respectively.
Skating to "All by Myself" by Eric Carmen and Sergei Rachmaninov, the sibling duo had the third-highest total element score among the field with Level 4 marks on four elements, including their synchronized twizzles.
Team USA took the next two spots in the standings behind the Browns with
Emilea Zingas and Vadym Kolesnik securing fifth in their Grand Prix debut and
Eva Pate and Logan Bye finishing sixth.
Highlighted by their serpentine step sequence, which received nearly 11 points from the judges, Zingas and Kolesnik's free dance to music from
Beauty and the Beast scored 112.71, a new international personal best. They tallied 184.66 points overall.
Pate and Bye ended the competition with a two-day total of 181.46. They claimed 109.34 points for their free dance as their combination lift was one of the highest-scoring elements of the competition at 13.64 points.
In the women's event, Thorngren clinched a top-five result at a Grand Prix for the first time in her career.
Her free skate set to music from the
Twilight series earned 127.53 points and her total score of 189.52 ranked just 0.39 points behind the fourth-place finisher.

Starr Andrews finished seventh and eighth, respectively, for Team USA. Shin concluded her first Grand Prix of the season with a total of 177.14 while Andrews tallied 174.82 points.
After starting the final day in 10th place,
