Team USA collected two medals at Dresden Cup – the second stop of the 2025 ISU Challenger Synchronized Skating – in Dresden, Germany on Saturday.
The
Haydenettes earned the bronze medal in their first international event of the season, while
Teams Elite pulled away from the competition in the free skate to take home the gold medal in the junior ranks.
Skyliners junior placed fifth in the junior division.
The
Haydenettes showed their consistency by finishing second in both segments.
The reigning World silver medalists started strong in the short program with their performance to "Lim Fantasy of Companionship for Piano and Orchestra" by Barua Joi, Martin Manuel Denis and Cody Fry.
Skating last in the segment, the 31-time U.S. champions took command. They received Level 4 marks on four of the five elements, including their intersection that generated a program-high 8.82 points.
With a short program score of 74.11, they trailed Canada's Les Supremes by 3.38 points heading into the free skate.
In their free skate, the team from Norwood, Massachusetts, put on a show with their program to "Caves" by Cody Fry and "Eleanor Rigby" by Joshua Bell and Frankie Moreno.
Except for one fall, their free skate score sheet didn't have another blemish and they received positive grades of executions on every element ranging from 1.31 to 2.04. They earned Level 4s for their pair element, first intersection, no hold element, move element and twizzle element. The
Haydenettes posted a day two score of 141.20 for a combined 215.31 to clinch bronze, their fifth Challenger Series medal.
Teams Elite delivered a major statement with their convincing victory in Germany.
The 2024 U.S. junior champions took a lead of .037 points after the short program with a crisp and clean routine to Mozart's "Lacrimosa."
Their program featured Level 4s on every element as well as all positive GOEs that ranged from 1.43 to 2.57.
Teams Elite's intersection earned them a program-high 10.07 points.
The team from Northbrook, Illinois, bested the 20-team field with a personal best score of 75.61.
In the free skate, coach Danielle Ostrower's team ran away with the competition after posting a season's best score of 132.75. The team's overall score of 208.36 eclipsed their previous best mark of 190.51 by 17.69 points.

Teams Elite displayed quality throughout, achieving all positive GOEs and the top program component marks. Their intersection generated a program-high 10.39 points, and they earned Level 4s on four elements.
The victory secured the team its seventh Challenger Series medal, the most of any U.S. team.
Teams Elite was the Challenger Series champion last season, garnering golds at both their assignments.
Also competing for Team USA in the junior event,
Skyliners junior put themselves in medal contention with their short program to "Nessun Dorma" by the Tenors. The team from Fairfield, Connecticut, posted a score of 70.02 to finish fourth place after the segment.
In the free skate, they experienced a fall on their intersection but bounced back and ended with Level 4s for their spin, move and traveling elements, landing them in sixth in the free skate and fifth overall.
Their move element in their Northern Lights-themed performance was especially impressive, garnering them a program-high 8.54 points and a GOE of 2.04.
The 2024 World bronze medalists posted a free skate score of 112.61 and an overall score of 182.63.
